Today's silly story-Shittyfood on 'Indian airlines' flight !

This was in 2006 .This was an intercity flight.

Why am I Blogging about it now?

This memory just popped up in my head. Just had to say it(type it out), especially since i promised i will write some silly stories interspersing the angry outbursts.

So, firstly, the airhostesses were all female(duh-hostESS) and for some reason, an airline snack meal was being offered( or served).It was a short flight, we really didn't need a snack. As soon as the flight took off, the hostesses start distributing these cold foil packages to all passengers like they do so in front of temples.Ya know, where they distribute alms to all the beggars sitting on the steps leading to the temple.

Gosh..Who asked them for a snack anyways?

They could have saved their reputation by not serving anything.

The most saddest part was, all my fellow passengers were vaguely also behaving like hungry beggars .They were quite unmindful of the disrespectful manner in which the meal was served.They started opening their food packages much like hungry beggars and also chomping on their food like crazed refugees.Many of them just downed it in two big bites.Gosh, that was so embarassing too.This nasty chomping of food while being quite unminful of the comfort of the person sitting beside you. I think it is a cultural thing..This eating food like a cow chews cud.Gosh.

I started opening mine for no reason.

There it was, a cold soggy greasy vegetable stuffed puff pastry.The stuffing was so spicy, it was all oily and soggy and wet , and cold.No I didn't eat it, Just had to taste it .I don't remember if a paper towel was given to us (given all that grease coated cold chunk of food)

Damn.

Needless to say, I never ever have so far, since 2006, travelled on an Air India/Indian Airlines flight.
