Fall in Excise duty from 12% to 10%

Pranab announced a fall in excise duty from 12% to 10%. A lot of other cuts have been announced especially in the electronic goods /parts imports. How long will it take for the price cuts to be passed on to the consumers? I have no idea. But yes, the next time you get a bill and someone writes VAT on your bill( VAT is value added tax,tax that is charged on any value added services that are billed) please make sure that the biller charges only 10% and not the USUAL 12%.

Speaking of billing, I have noticed that most indians don't ask for a bill at a medical store or a grocery store and such.
Please, Please ask for a bill even if you don't require a bill, because, you don't want the shopkeeper to get away with unaccounted for profits. Okay?
