Catch up blog-pink chaddis and the works !

What is a catch up blog? A blog entry solely made for the purpose of summarizing or following up stories related to older blog entries and the topics associated thereof.

So, yeah, a group of goons go ahead and attack women who were peacefully eating some lunch in the middle of the afternoon at a lounge.(not really a pub).The pretext these goons used to enter the premises was that their culture was being defied by women visiting pubs and dancing naked there .Gosh, these women were a group of five having lunch..No one was drinking.. it was an afternoon.These goons didn't know these women. Yet, they slapped these women, chased them out and tripped them and molested them in general.A lot of people from the state and the country staged protests against this breach of constitutional rights of citizens of the democracy of India.Some saw it as a breach of human rights.Some saw it as a women's issue alone. Nevertheless everyone figured that these goons had no right to attack women they never knew in the first place.

A group of women journalists then started the pink chaddi campaign where women from all over the country mailed old pink panties to this alleged bachelor , the goon boss..This incident totally made me laugh..totally.What a wonderfully unique way to peacefully protest against such an inhuman action by the goons.

Meanwhile, both men and women alike protested and demanded citizen protection that they are rightfully entitled to from the government.The local BJP govt and the newly elected CM yedyurappa till then had brushed this off as a small incident.This apathy is the cause of why the country is down there in the dumps.Finally, the citizens that voted for him almost sought impeachement of the govt if women citizens of the state cannot be protected by the local govt.

ONe commendable action was taken by central minister for women's welfare Renuka chaudary, who saw this as a chaos of law and order in the state.Finally, the police and the homeminister of the local govt promised that no goons will be left out and no future attackers will be let go unpunished.Valentine's day, which these goons threatened to sabotage, is a day of love. Love is an universal sentiment.Finally, the police force realized their duty and now offer police protection for anyone wanting to celebrate valentine's day , after all love conquers all.

So, yeah at the end of the day, democracy prevails, citizen's rights are safegaurded.End of story.Period.

I request that no more media attention be given to these goons who prolly in the very first place went around creating havoc primarily to get some media publicity.

One lesson that all citizens need to learn from this incident is that, there is no place for religious extremism of any kinda in this great country of India.There is no place for extremist governments either.You cannot just safegaurd and protect criminals while you are the CM while at the same time ignoring the pleas of the very people that elected you.

One more lesson one learns is to assert your rights, announce your moderate views.

Never elect extremists ..They will make an afghanistan of this country if you allow extremists to come to power.Never never elect extremists.Elect representatives that are ready to focus on the health and infrastructure of the population.Elect representatives that will build libraries, hospitals and schools..that is what this country must invest in .All religions are the same. All of them preach goodness. All extremists irrespective of religion must stop misinterpreting religion and try to use it to achieve greater strides in science and arts.There is no place for hate or anger in any given religion.Everyone of us is human and all we want is love and happiness.
