This is with regards to the episodes of assaults on Indian women by roadside goons , which were for some reason televised by the media without any attempt being made to help the women that were getting assaulted.what were the police doing during the attack ? Why are the women being beaten up by random men from the street? what has indian culture got to do with a breach of constitutional right?

Yes, such assaults when shown on the media do raise questions and hopefully action gets taken against these goons who have no understanding about the fact that they have no right to dictate things to other people.These goons might be frustrated that women no longer want to get abused and that women who become financially independant won't allow these men to insult and use them as commodities, but that doesn't mean that they start assaulting these women .
yes, but having said that, excessive media coverage of the same incident ( which involves actually inviting these goons to our tv studios might actually serve as an encouragement to these goons to assault more women just in an attempt to try to get on tv.) They might start assaulting women just to get some media coverage. gosh !
Who are these goons afterall?
Men who are born in dysfunctional families where abuse of women is a norm to such an extent that to these men, any woman who doesn't allow herself to be abused or insulted looks and seems like a threat.These men are losers with no real jobs and those who are looking to make a buck by entering the already criminalized politics.So, if you invite them to your tv studios ,it is almost giving validation to these NOBODIES.The best solution would be to continue media coverage on this issue but only in terms of following it up to find out how the state govt is taking some action and protecting the women of the state from random goons who are using culture as an excuse to touch them up and molest them.Most of these goons are jobless goons trying to using goondaism to reach up and molest the women that they eye everyday on the streets but can't molest them outright and so the sexual preverts use anything as an excuse to commit crimes.
NONE OF THESE GOONS SHOULD BE INVITED TO THE TV STUDIOS.THE MORE THESE GOONS ARE INVITED ON TV, THE MORE THESE GOONS MIGHT MOLEST MORE WOMEN JUST TO GET THEIR FACES ON TV..
If the state govt. doesn't think that it is necessary to protect the women voters, then the women voters must stage a rally and send letters to the central govt, quoting a NO CONFIDENCE motion against this govt that fails to protect the women citizens of the state and seek to impeach this govt.
Women citizens of the state need to remember this incident each time they vote next .. Never vote for someone coz you are afraid of them.They are just govt servants, they are here to serve us.Voting is a secret process, No one is going to know whom you personally voted for .So even if political parties threaten you to vote for them or bribe you with sarees to vote for them or even if the males in your own family force you to vote for this and this person coz it works out well for their selfish lifestyles where they can get away with doing nothing at home , you can still go and vote exactly for whom you personally want and always come out and pretend like you voted for the ones you are being forced to vote esp if you are being abused and being forced to let go off of your self esteem by the selfish male members of your own family.
The vote is your weapon.You are in control of your destiny.Never vote for any party whose contestants are focusing on religious issues.We need more parties that focus on hospitals or roads or infrastructure or more buses or public transport.
God is the same in all religions and we must all learn to SAY NO TO GOONS WHO USE RELIGION AS AN EXCUSE TO HARRASS AND KILL AND ABUSE PEOPLE AND WHO HAVE NOTHING BUT SELF INTEREST ON THEIR MINDS.
The beauty of India is that it is a diverse culture. People of different languages, food habits, gene pools and ancestral backgrounds live with each other. We must champion the cause of Unity in diversity. Each of us is Human irrespective of gender or religion or state. We are all the same. We all seek happiness. Go out in large groups, groups from each college, in groups of 100 or 200, on valentine's day. exchange hugs with all and sundry, offer flowers to friends and lovers alike. Take out a large rally with full police protection. We have every right to go out and do whatever we want.We are citizens of a democracy and we have rights as humans. We cannot let jobless rowdies to now dictate and curb our independance.
